Background
One of our clients had subscribed to a lead generation program and had built a significant contact list of people who were interested in a product category where our client planned to introduce new parts in.
Our challenges
Research and identify applications for client’s new parts.
Steps Undertaken
- The application engineer assigned to the project studied the clients’ parts and Websites of competitive part manufacturers in the target product categories.
- Competitive product offerings were researched and the unique features of client’s new products were identified
- The design engineers in the contact list available were called and their requirements discussed.
- The applications they were working on were further researched
- Enhancements to the potential customer’s application were generated
- Scope of the clients’ parts were discussed with the potential customers to develop the solution for the enhancement and generate new application for the parts
Results accomplished
New applications for the parts were identified, example:

- Mass Flow Meter
- Gas Analyzer
